Professional Surreal & Illustrative Tattoo Artist in London

I'm Nick Whybrow, a London tattoo artist with more than 20 years of professional tattooing experience. Since 2003, I've dedicated my career to creating distinctive custom tattoos that combine surrealism, illustration, graphic design and bold linework.

My fascination with tattooing began long before I picked up a machine. Growing up immersed in the punk and skate culture of the 1980s and 1990s, I became obsessed with how tattoos could transform the way people expressed themselves and how they were perceived by the world around them.

After receiving my first tattoos in the late 1990s, I knew tattooing was more than an art form—it was the creative path I wanted to follow. Following years of developing my drawing and design skills, I began my tattoo apprenticeship in Colchester before expanding my experience through guest spots and collaborations with respected tattoo studios across the UK and internationally.

Over the years I've worked alongside world-class tattoo artists in renowned studios including Immortal Ink, Skinwear, Two Hands, Salon Serpent, Devils Ink, Parliament and Scapegoat, continually refining my style and approach to custom tattoo design.

Since 2007, London has been my tattooing home. In 2018, I opened The Good Fight Tattoo in Camden, where I continue to create custom tattoos for clients looking for something original, personal and unlike anything else on the market.

My speciality is surreal, illustrative and graphic tattooing, with a strong focus on clean linework, striking compositions and unique concepts. While I still enjoy creating traditional and classic tattoo styles, my passion lies in designing tattoos that feel imaginative, unconventional and instantly recognisable.

Every tattoo I create is designed specifically for the individual wearing it. My goal has always been to produce artwork that stands apart from trends and gives clients a tattoo that feels genuinely unique.

If you're looking for a custom tattoo artist in London specialising in surreal tattoos, illustrative tattoos, graphic tattoos or large-scale linework designs, I'd love to hear your ideas and help bring them to life.

  • I've been visiting Nick and The Good Fight team for around a year now, it's becoming something of a second home for me. Nick is an excellent tattooist, shop manager and all round human being.
